Voices-only Wednesday: ‘You Followed Love Home,’ a song for Sierra
Welcome once again to Voices-only Wednesday.
This occasional online feature highlights the best a cappella videos that come across our eyes — and ears — on the web.
This week we bring you a video of the Rochester College chorus singing “You Followed Love Home” written by Crystal Shields, sister of Sierra, 30, who has been missing since Jan. 14.
“I wrote this for Sierra, and as a comfort to my soul,” Shields wrote on the Find Sierra Shields Facebook page. “I pray desperately our sweet Sierra may find her way back soon.”

Joe Bentley, chair of the Department of Music, Theatre and Visual Art at Rochester College in Rochester Hills, Mich., arranged Shields’ song in an effort to honor the family.
“When I first heard Crystal’s solo video of this song, I felt it was important that it be arranged and sung,” Bentley said on the Rochester College YouTube page. “The Shields family has been very close to the chorus for several years now. We at Rochester College are proud to honor them and to do what we can in the search for Sierra.”
Sierra is a 2009 graduate from the Christian college and a current online student in the master’s degree program. Her brother, Chris Shields II, is the Rochester College campus minister.
“May this song find every missing person,” Crystal wrote on Facebook.
