Welcome to Voices only, our weekly roundup of the best a cappella videos we can find online.
This week we didn’t have to go far to find great music. Our friends at the East Side Church of Christ in Oklahoma City invited us to an elder ordination — and treated us to inspirational songs sung by groups from across the nation.
Stanley Daniel became the third elder of the 175-member congregation, joining elders Gary Jones Sr. and Jack Reynolds. Members of other Churches of Christ in Oklahoma City participated in the ceremony. East Side is an active part of United in Christ, a movement by congregations across Oklahoma that encourages increased interaction and cooperation among predominantly black and predominantly white congregations.

Also present were vocal groups from Churches of Christ in Tennessee and Florida. Following are more photos and a few videos from the event:
The children’s chorus of the East Side church sings “Let it Rise.”
POWER, an a cappella group from the Whites Creek Pike Church of Christ in Nashville, Tenn., sings during the elder ordination.
Revelation, a group from the Southside Church of Christ in Orlando, Fla., sings.
