Sunset campaign raises $1 million over funding goal
LUBBOCK, TEXAS — Sunset International Bible Institute celebrated the completion of its capital campaign with a dinner attended by nearly 500 on April 18.
The three-year effort, called “Let’s Go … Make Disciples,” netted the Institute more than $13 million in cash and pledges – $1 million more than the original goal.
“We are grateful for the partnership of brethren nationwide who support Sunset’s national and global vision to reach our world for Jesus Christ,” said Bob Crockett, campaign chairman.
Truitt Adair, executive director, said 85 percent of the funds already have been received, allowing Sunset to expand ministry training throughout the world.
“This is not about buildings and it is not just about money, but rather it’s all about souls,” Adair said.
Founded by Cline Paden in 1962, Sunset currently serves 8,000 students worldwide.
