NAMED: Leigh Krieger Williams, Nurse of the Year by the Emergency Department of Integris Baptist Medical Center, Oklahoma City. Taylor Woodard, one of the 10 national grand prize winners in the General Mills “Box tops for Education” essay contest.  Williams and Woodward attend the North MacArthur church, Oklahoma City.
HONORED: John and Diane Duncum with the Distinguished Alumni Citation from Abilene Christian University’s Alumni Association for their years of service to the university.  The Duncums attend the A&M church, College Station, Texas, where John Duncum is one of the elders. Hurley Miller  as ACU’s Young Alumnus of the Year. Becky Owen and her 4-H club in Bastrop, La., for their community service project for Make A Difference Day. Owen attends the Jackson Street church, Monroe, La.
AWARDED: Carly Joseph and her cheerleading squad for winning the Athletic National Championship. Joseph attends the Harpeth Hills church, Brentwood, Tenn. The First Colony Church of Christ Prison Ministry, Sugar Land Texas, with the Volunteer Group of the Year award by the Carol Vance Unit. Brandyn Carlile, first place in the Farm Business Management Competition at the FFA District Convention. Carlile attends the Southwest church, Tigard, Ore.
EARNED: Emily Royse, a Fulbright Scholarship to study and teach in Vienna, Austria, beginning this September. She will teach English part-time at an Austrian high school and attend classes at a university in Vienna.  
MINISTER MOVES: Mark Bryson to the McDermott Road church, Plano, Texas, as membership and discipleship minister. Gary Cochran to the Prestoncrest church, Dallas, as singles minister.
