Jerry Mitchell, member of the Skyway Hills Church of Christ in Pearl, Miss., is leaving the Clarion Ledger in Jackson, where he has been an award-winning investigative reporter since 1986.
He is launching a new nonprofit, the Mississippi Center for Investigative Reporting.
RETIRING

Jimmy Dobbs
Jimmy Dobbs, executive director of Agape of Central Alabama, after 33 years at the helm.
Steve Duer, Agape’s director of community relations, will succeed Dobbs as leader of the foster and adoption care ministry.
STEPPING DOWN

Julie Maher
Julie Maher, chief executive officer of Church of Christ Care Center in Clinton Township, Mich., after 10 years with the center.
She will remain on the job until a new CEO is hired.
