Milestone: George Robert Lyles, Sr., Memorial

George Robert Lyles, Sr., passed from this life on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014, in Baton Rouge, La.

A member of the Goodwood Boulevard Church of Christ, George served as an elder there for more than three decades.

He was a dedicated Christian throughout his life.

In 2005, when south Louisiana was ravaged by Hurricane Katrina, George led a ministry to visit and support the many Churches of Christ throughout the area that were devastated by the storm.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ann Lyles.
