Memorial: Philip Dean Bingham
Philip Dean Bingham was born March 14, 1940. Dean married his childhood sweetheart, Linda Pope, and they attended Abilene Christian College in 1958.
He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin and his Masters in Education from Sam Houston State University. Dean was serving as a high school math and science teacher in Houston when he answered the call to serve the Kingdom as a teacher, principal and superintendent at Boles Home, Fort Worth Christian School and Shreve Christian School over the next two decades. He then joined the National Federation of Independent Business and earned recognition for years as a top producer. Dean returned to teaching sixth-grade science in Gainesville, Texas, before retirement.
Dean served as a deacon of the Boles Home Church of Christ and as an elder of the College Hill Church of Christ in Forth Worth, Texas; the Huntington Park Church of Christ in Shreveport, La.; and the Singing Oaks Church of Christ in Denton, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, three children, and nine grandchildren. Dean left his earthly cloak to be with his Lord July 6, 2014, surrounded at home by his family. Memorial gifts may be made to Oklahoma Christian University or to Boles Home for Children.
