Joyce McBride, Memorial

Joyce Ann Warren McBride (March 16, 1934-April 16, 2015) was the second child born to Clarence Burton Warren and Aline Mattie Helton Warren. She grew up in Cowan, Tenn., and attended David Lipscomb College where she completed a double major in elementary education and home economics. She married Bailey McBride on April 28, 1956. 

Since Joyce was a college student, she had been dedicated to helping children learn about God through stories in his Word. As the McBride children married, Joyce and Bailey began to travel, which became a passion for them both. 

Joyce is survived by her husband Bailey; children Melissa Roe (Phil), Lynette Brown (Pat) and Michael McBride (Karen); grandchildren Jennifer Thurman (Joe), Luke Roe (Rachel), Savanna Millikan (James), Kailey King (Josh), Brady McBride, Ashlyn Brown, Connor McBride and Garrett McBride; and great-grandchildren Emma Roe and Amos Millikan. 

Joyce loved us all so well. She was a friend to everyone and always believed we were better than we really were. 

She introduced so many to Jesus and modeled service and love every day of her life. She adored her family and her sweet husband.

Well done, good and faithful servant. We celebrate her sweet life and her victory.
