Goad named president of Cascade College; school receives $2.5 million gift
PORTLAND, ORE. — Cascade College’s Board of Governors has named William P. Goad president of the 300-student school. Goad has served the Portland college, an affiliate of Oklahoma Christian University in Oklahoma City, since 2003 as chief operating officer and chief executive officer. Prior to his work at Cascade, he served for five years as chief information officer for Oklahoma Christian.
“Bill’s leadership and management skills have served the college well over the past few years,” said board chairman Kerry Barnes.
Goad and his wife, Rita, are members of the Vancouver, Wash., church. They have four children.
Goad’s appointment was announced as the school celebrated a committment of $2.5 million from donors Don Brandt, Margaret Evans, and Dennis and Donna Evans, all of Caldwell, Idaho.
“Their step of faith … serves as a great example to all of us who believe in the mission of Cascade College,” said Oklahoma Christian President Mike O’Neal. “Under the leadership of Dr. Bill Goad and with the support of many friends and alumni … Cascade College is strategically positioned for significant growth and success in the years to come.”
