Churches mourn deaths of prominent leaders
Longtime missionaries, preachers and school administrators remembered
The months of February and March saw the deaths of several prominent members of churches of Christ — including Evertt L. Huffard, missionary to the Middle East and teacher at Freed-Hardeman; David Lavender, teacher and missionary to Italy; Lott Tucker, administrator at Harding University; Bill Shinsky, longtime coach at Rochester College; and Albert Winstanely, pioneering preacher for churches of Christ in England.
