Art and Jane Neece, Farewell Wishes

On May 9, the Empty Nesters Bible class and the elders and their wives at Memorial Road Church of Christ in Oklahoma City honored longtime members Art and Jane Neece with gifts and a going-away party.

Art and Jane have lived in Edmond, Okla., for the past 40 years, where they raised their sons Greg, Brad, and Doug. They will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in October. Art retired from Kraft Foods after 35 years and Jane worked in the business office at Oklahoma Christian University for 25 years. They have served in various capacities at church and at Tealridge Retirement Community, participated in Sonlight Singers and worked with Mobile Meals in Edmond.

The Neece’s son Doug, his wife Kim, and their four sons live in Albany, Texas, where he serves the Church of Christ as a deacon, song leader and youth ministry leader. Doug was diagnosed with extensive cancer last fall. Art and Jane immediately thought of how they could be of help in supporting  Doug and his family. They didn’t think twice about moving in order to do whatever was needed to help this family fight their battle.

We will truly miss this loyal and faithful couple who have worked and served so many people. We bid them a loving farewell with many blessings, and we send our prayers with them.
