A new building for Three Chopt Road
Dedication day Feb. 9 marked the opening of a new 18,000-square-foot facility for the Three Chopt Road church, Richmond, Va. Dr. Rod Smith presented a dedication message on behalf on the congregation’s 10 elders, said Eddie Hendrix, minister.
Six ministers of area churches — Mark Dailey, Lonnie Davis, James Nesmith, Bill Snell, Tommy South and Mural Worthey — read passages of scripture.
The new facility is located on 7.7 acres. The auditorium seats 460 people with expandable capacity to 540, Hendrix said. The congregation, which will celebrate its 80th anniversary this spring, was known at two of its previous locations as Highland Park and Hermitage Road.
