This weekly online feature highlights the best a cappella videos that come across our eyes — and ears — on the web.
This week we bring you a video made by members of the Sylvan Hills Church of Christ in Sherwood, Ark., for the opening of its newly remodeled worship center.
The YouTube video shows pictures of the building before, during and after the two year remodeling project — as well as what people wrote within the walls during the process, said Aaron Leverette, who attends the 400 hundred member congregation.
The a cappella group — made up of five church members — sings “Holy Spirit You Are Welcome Here” in the completed building.
“The message of the song,” Leverette said, “ties in well with the congregation’s desire that the Spirit of the Lord would be a part of the ongoing ministry of the church.”
What a perfect song to bless a new building. Welcome home Sylvan Hills Church of Christ.
