Voices-only Wednesday: ‘In Christ Alone,’ ‘All Creatures of our God and King’ — more one-man a cappella
We’ve done at least two posts so far on one-man a cappella videos (this one from exactly one year ago, featuring several artists, and this one from June featuring Zambian-born Kaoma Chende).
Here’s one more that’s worth a look by The N Crew (though we’re pretty sure it’s just one guy), “In Christ Alone.”
That seems like a popular song to do in one-man format. But here’s one you don’t hear too often as a solo (or quasi-solo, or whatever), “All Creatures of our God and King.”
On the lighter side, here’s a “historic” video The N Crew pulled from its archives, “I Am Going Home to Heaven.” Unlike the others, this is neither one-man or one-size-of-man a cappella.
Finally, here’s one sent in by one of our readers — “Hallelujah (He is Wonderful)” sung by students at Oklahoma Christian University in Oklahoma City. Leading singing is James Simmons, youth minister for the Park Plaza Church of Christ in Tulsa, Okla.
Thanks to OC alumnus/Park Plaza CofC Youth Minister/Songleader Extraordinaire James Simmons for leading our community today in chapel. MAN, that’s some good singin!! It’s been a wonderful 1st week at OC!
