Voices-only Wednesday: ‘How Great Thou Art’ in Jerusalem

Welcome to Voices-only Wednesday.

This weekly online feature highlights the best a cappella videos that come across our eyes — and ears — on the web.

This week we present to you ‘How Great Thou Art’ sung by RoseAngela at the Church of St. Anne in Jerusalem.

RoseAngela, an aspiring singer from Greenville, S.C., was excited to sing at this historic church that stands by the remains of the pools of Bethesda — the site where Jesus healed the crippled man in John 5.

“The acoustics in this church are coveted by churches everywhere,” she said on her Facebook and YouTube pages, “but no one has been able to replicate it.”

Her video — originally posted back in 2012 — has seen a recent revival as Facebook users have begun sharing it again.

“I’m grateful and humbled that so many would enjoy it and be blessed by it all this time later,” said RoseAngela, member of the NewSpring Church in Anderson. “I will never forget the overwhelming awe I felt singing to Jesus there in that church right beside the pools of Bethesda.”
