Here’s a cover of the Casting Crowns hit “Praise You in This Storm,” written by Mark Hall and Bernie Herms, by Narrow Way. (Thayne Washburn, Brandon Trout, Jesse Bartley, Jerry Tesch) met on the campus of Florida College.
This song has been in my heart for a long time. It is an encouragement and a reminder that God is still God, the Almighty God, full of faithfulness and mercy, even in a midst of a storm — hardships of life. So I worship him not because of the circumstances I am facing, but because God is the same God yesterday, today and tomorrow.
Even in the midst of a storm, God sends his blessings upon my life. He “whispers through the rain ‘I’m with you.’” He hears my cry. He holds me in his hand. He never leaves my side. He is my shelter and my help.
So I’ll praise him throughout my days and nights, throughout the hardships and storms of my life. I’ll lift my hands to adore him and give him praise for all of who he is.
