Voices only: ‘Good Good Father’
Welcome to Voices only, where we search the internet to bring you great a cappella music.
Here are a cappella versions of Chris Tomlin’s “Good Good Father.” First up is a clip by The ZOE Group.
Our heavenly Father is the perfect example of fatherhood — and his love for us goes beyond our understanding of fatherhood. He is perfect in all that he does, even though we may not think that or feel that in a specific moment. But God sees the whole picture and wants what is best for us, even when we don’t know what we want. In his mighty hands he holds the perfect timing, his perfect love, grace and mercy.

Here’s another video of the song, this one performed by Daybreak A Cappella, students from Abilene Christian University in Texas (recorded during the pandemic).
In spite of what you experience here with regard to your earthly father, remember that God is your ultimate Father. He loves you because you are his creation:
“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness” (Jeremiah 31:3)
He is never going to abandon you:
“Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me.” (Psalm 27:10).
God is actively involved and interested in your story. With him we feel undeniable love and unexplained peace. In his arms we are safe, secure and loved.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
What a cappella song do you find especially meaningful? Send us a video link and a short description of what the song means to you. We might use your selection in a future Voices Only.
