Voices only: ‘Awesome God’ — camp version

Welcome to Voices only, a virtual celebration of a cappella music.

This week I bring you (courtesy of my cell phone) the camp rendition of the Rich Mullins classic, “Awesome God.”

I shot this during our Wednesday night “Wonder of Worship (WoW)” class at the Memorial Road Church of Christ in Oklahoma City. Worship minister Scott Young does a great job of teaching us new songs and mixing them in with old favorites. This week’s theme was “Camp WoW.”

(I believe this technically is the Acappella arrangement, but it’s also what we sing at camp.) Here’s Keith Lancaster himself leading the hymn in 2017:
