Lisa Brewer, my friend and sister in Christ, encouraged me to visit the 13th Street Church of Christ during my D.C. trip.

“You will find the warmest welcome ever there! We LOVE that congregation,” Lisa, whose husband, Greg, is a deacon at the Wilkesboro Church of Christ in North Carolina, told me in an e-mail. “They have been so good to our son (Zack, a college student in Washington) for three full years.”
Lisa could not have been more right. I’ll share more about the 13th Street church in a future piece in The Christian Chronicle. But I thought you’d enjoy hearing some singing (video above) and part of minister Gaylon A. Freeman’s sermon (video below) from Sunday’s assembly.
