Video: Singing at The Ascending Voice II

Blogging live from Malibu, Calif.
A two-hour flight delay in Oklahoma City delayed my departure, but I made it to Los Angeles this afternoon. I’m at Pepperdine University to cover The Ascending Voice II, a symposium of sacred a cappella music.
The video above was shot this afternoon. It features Ken Nafziger, a Mennonite music professor. He’s leading singing in Pepperdine’s Stauffer Chapel. The picture quality is not the best; the audio is better.
If you missed it, I posted a Religion News Service interview with symposium co-director Darryl Tippens on Wednesday.

Didn’t expect to cry, but I did. Beautiful sound and nice blue reflection…

When God hears the wondrous melody of His childrens’ voices raised to Him in praise, His heart surely leaps with joy. What a beautiful sound, indeed. Thank you for posting this joyful sound on your site.
