Video: Florida deputies investigate gang vandalism at Church of Christ
ABC Action News in Tampa, Fla., reports:
DOVER, Fla. – Street gangs have repeatedly targeted the Church of Christ in Dover, a church member said. The most recent case was discovered Wednesday morning at the small community church on Rex Avenue.
Someone had spray painted on the white stucco church in black paint, the symbol SUR X3, identified by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s office as a violent East Hillsborough County street gang.
Church member Wesley Gallagher is responsible for painting over the mess. “It’s tough work, scraping that off and painting. It takes about four hours each time I have to do it,” said Gallagher. “I’ve had to do it five or six times already in just the past 18 months or so.”

FeedbackWhat a shame. These thugs have no respect for anyone or anything but themselves. They probably do not even respect each other in their own gang. No values at all.JeffDecember, 3 2011You may want to put on your building, a heavey coat of soft wax. the paint will-not stick and you jest wipe it off. They won’t be back!!RonDecember, 6 2011That is a good idea about the soft wax. We are in the suburbs of Detroit, and on a main street graffiti was about normal. We would power wash it off brick. Unfortunately, that is the state of our kids today. Some communities have passed laws that one has to be of age to buy spray paint. I even got carded at Walmart myself when I went to buy a can of spray paint, and I am 59.Gary HatmakerDecember, 7 2011Paint a red circle around it with a line through it. Don’t paint over it. Show it as a reply to them.RichardDecember, 8 2011
