Malori is surrounded by her team at a welcome home service.

UPDATE: ‘Jesus is the Winner,’ sings student recovering from brain bleed

UPDATE:  After two months in Dallas and one last surgery on Jan. 6, Malori was finally able to go home.  Lubbock’s KCBD  reports one of her first stops after leaving the hospital on Jan. 10 was the  Green Lawn Church of Christ  in Lubbock, Texas, where she thanked hundreds and friends and family for their continued support.

As Malori walked into Green Lawn’s auditorium and saw it packed with her supporters on Sunday evening, she realized her team is much larger than she ever expected.

“I pray that God blesses y’all just so abundantly,” she said, “and I feel like the most rich person in the whole world.”

After two brain surgeries over two months, Lubbock Christian University volleyball player Malori Maddox was welcomed home by hundreds of friends and family members at Green Lawn Church of Christ.
