Twitter time at Pepperdine

The Pepperdine Bible Lectures annually ranks as one of the best-attended events among Churches of Christ.
The lectures, directed by Jerry Rushford, draw thousands of Christians from across the nation.
Attendees come to refresh their spiritual batteries, hear exceptional speakers and — let’s admit it — enjoy the awe-inspiring view of God’s creation, namely the Pacific Ocean.
As Alexander Campbell (I don’t think he’s the original one?) put it in a recent Twitter post, “Pepperdine Lectures are quickly approaching; a week of suffering for the Lord in Malibu… It’s the cross i must bear.”
I didn’t make it to Pepperdine for the lectures this week, although I can’t complain too much: I’m headed there next week to cover The Ascending Voice II, an international symposium of sacred a cappella music.
But through the miracle of modern technology (and my personal Twitter account), I’m enjoying keeping up with what’s happening at Pepperdine. The aforementioned brother Campbell and other church members are providing regular updates via tweets hashtagged #pbl.
Some of the Twitter posts are humorous, others thought-provoking, still others just plain informative:
