Tomorrow is Dump Day

Trey Morgan, minister for the Childress, Texas, Church of Christ, will collect funds tomorrow through his website to raise money for the poorest of the poor in Honduras.
A little more than a year ago Morgan read in a missionary newsletter about a group of Hondurans that lived in a dump near the capital, Tegucigalpa, digging through trash, looking for anything edible or anything they could sell.
The missionaries, Marc and Terri Tindall, started taking about 300 sandwiches to the dump each week. Late last year, Morgan and other church members hosted a “Jesus banquet” in the dump and served hundreds of people. Honduras’ First Lady even stopped by the event.
Morgan invites those interested to donate or join him in a fast tomorrow for Dump Day. Proceeds will go toward feeding the Hondurans who live at the dump.
Filmmaker Andy Hubright is working on a documentary about the unique ministry, and offers some footage here. This video will be available only for one week, and some of the scenes are graphic. (The video may take up to 20 seconds to start.)
