Blogging live from Malibu, Calif.
You’ll never guess who rolled in on the waves of the Pacific to Pepperdine University.

That is, unless you have a program for the 69th annual Bible Lectures. In that case, guessing is quite easy.
I’ve spoken with Christians from Cuba, China, the Philippines, India, Spain, Austria, Haiti, Zambia, Zimbabwe and, of course, Ghana here on Pepperdine’s beautiful campus.
Dyron Daughrity, and I presented the first in our two-part class, “What’s Right With Churches of Christ? How Global Expansion is Enriching Our Restoration Heritage.” Our venue is the second floor of the Howard A. White Center (HAWC) — a literal coffeehouse (including coffee and a cafe selling baked goods).
It was a lot of fun. If you’re in Malibu tomorrow (Friday, May 4) come see us.
Here are a few more snapshots from my time at Pepperdine.

FeedbackAm praying that the Lectureship continues, as it has under Jerry Rushford, to bless the church on the West Coast, as well as those who travel in from so many other places.RonMay, 5 2012I was blessed to be part of the lectures once again. It’s a marvellous time to meet brothers and sisters from around the world or reconnect with old friends.Bonnie MillerMay, 7 2012God bless those who went to this year lectureship and us who do not attend and we pray that we have the opportunity to attend some other time in future.Chinedum NwankwoMay, 7 2012Jerry has done a great and awesome job! I’m so excited after hearing Mike Cope speak this year…he too will do a great job as Jerry has. Jerry Rushford will be free to work with the Church Heritage Center.Barbara ByrdMay, 7 2012its an amazing time for brethren to fellowship together. The Lord who bought us has made us into one big, and large family here on Earth. May we all continue to allow such time as this in Pepperdine to propel our love for one another and the entire World.
Hope to be among the Christian crowd someday .UChenna F. BekeeMay, 7 2012That was a great experience of fellowship and learning. Now I have the great challenge to go evangelize. We got wonderful lessons and encouragement to go evangelize. I am on fire for Christ. Special thank you to Park Plaza Church of Christ for sending us there.Francisco A. DavilaMay, 7 2012My wife Glenda and I were there together for the first time. I was actually at Jerry’s first Lectureship-singing with the PU acappella chorus. I then worked the sixth as a graduate student. Awesome growth over the years and a enriching spiritual and informational feast. So many reunions expected and (pleasantly) unexpected. Thank you Jerry for your leadership and service. Thank you Pepperdine for supporting this important fellowship gathering for the Chruches of Christ.Roger WoodsMay, 8 2012I enjoyed Part I of your class very much. It was nice to chat with you and Dyron afterwards. Wish I could have attended Part II.Victor KnowlesMay, 9 2012
