Tennessee community mourns 13-year-old church member killed in drive-by shooting

Hundreds of family, friends and community members filled the main sanctuary at College Hills Church of Christ for C’Asia Patton’s funeral. 
And though many tears were shed and sorrow struck several, the funeral was transformed into a celebration of life for the 13 year old who died Thursday from a bullet wound she received while sleeping Jan. 5 during a drive-by shooting at her grandmother’s house.
“This is a celebration. So since it’s a celebration, we are going to treat it just like that,” said Patrick Johnson, minister at Peyton Road Church of Christ where Patton was a member.
