As requested by Jim Martin, vice president of Harding School of Theology in Memphis, Tenn., here are 10 of my Christian Chronicle stories that I’d encourage church leaders to read.
I look forward to discussing these stories with Martin during the school’s alumni luncheon at the Harding University Bible Lectureship in Searcy, Ark.
2. ‘Churchianity’ vs. Christianity.
3. Is the Holy Land the Promised Land?
5. Christian universities face ‘extremely difficult’ recruiting outlook.<
7. Can Churches of Christ reach millennials?
8. Ebola survivor Dr. Kent Brantly returning to Africa as a medical missionary.
9. To Botham Jean’s parents, fatal shooting still feels ‘as if it just happened.’
The luncheon is for Harding School of Theology alumni and friends. It’s set for noon Wednesday, Oct. 2, in the Founders Room of the American Heritage Building. Tickets are free but required and will be available at Lectureship Crossroads.
