Teacher, children from Danbury, Conn., church reported safe after school shooting
A member of the Danbury Church of Christ in Connecticut teaches at the elementary school where a mass shooting today left 27 people dead, including 20 children.
She is OK, minister Doug Vile told The Christian Chronicle on Friday afternoon.
Two children of a member attend the school and also are safe, deacon Rob Melillo said Friday night. Vile earlier had been attempting to reach the member.
“Currently, all members’ families are safe and accounted for,” Melillo said. “The family that has children there had stayed home from school today.”

May God be with these families!Paul SmithDecember, 14 2012So saddened by this tragedy and all who are hurting. Praying, praying, praying!Alan HendersonDecember, 15 2012I have been a Christian ever since I can remember. I will never understand why God allows these things to happen…..NEVER…..EVER!RonDecember, 16 2012Ron, You said you were a Christian forever. Think of it this way. We are here but for a little while and then we get to be with Jesus. How Glorious is that. Those little children went straight to God. One more thing. God did not allow it to happen. He gave us free will. that man that shot those people had free will he just abused it. Now that is in God’s hands. God does not make us love him he just loves it when we do love him. Ron, talk to God and let him thru his word speak to your heart also. So many people are trusting in God now, Pray you do also.
