Stones River Manor family services director Mike Gann recently put on a baking show for the residents of the nonprofit Christian home for seniors in Murfreesboro as he made his famed carrot cake. Gann has dished out more than 2,000 of his cakes over the past 16 years, many of them going to senior citizens on their birthdays, to families mourning a death and to charities for fundraising events. Gann is on track to make 200 cakes by the end of the year.
