Students gather 4,000 food items
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. — Clarksville Christian School students recently put their faith into action by collecting nearly 4,000 nonperishable food items.
The students donated the groceries to “The Well,” an outreach ministry of the Church of Christ at Trenton Crossing.
“You glorify God and demonstrate a student’s heart,” volunteer Diana McArthur said in a note to the school’s Student Government Association.
The project began with a competition between each grade level to design and decorate a box for the food collection. The competition escalated when it was announced that the class that collected the most food items would win a prize.
