Spotlight: Refreshing SoulQuest

YORK, Neb. — More than 500 teens from 13 states gathered for a week of spiritually uplifting fun at York College.

Inspiring worship, Bible classes, service projects and fun activities highlighted SoulQuest, and about 70 were baptized. “Many others left with changed hearts and lives,” York spokeswoman Chrystal Houston said.

Soul Quest attendees spent one afternoon serving the community — from installing a garden at a residence to collecting food for a rescue mission to painting fire hydrants.

“This week is a life-changing, mountaintop experience for these young people as they learn about Jesus and get to know him personally,” Houston said. “They also develop friendships with other teens who will help them on their journey of faith.”
