Spotlight: Quadriplegic baptized

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Georgette Morton, who became a quadriplegic as a result of a car accident, lives in a nursing home.

That is where the 36-year-old woman attended a Sunday Bible lesson and singing led by members of the Dale City Church of Christ.

Afterward, she expressed an interest to speaker Alex Witcher in learning more about Jesus. She studied the Bible for nearly a year with church members Thomas and Carol Riley.

The year “was filled with many obstacles, including health, emotional, family and nursing home issues,” Thomas Riley said. “Thanks be to God, who worked them all out, paving the way for her to be baptized.”
