Spotlight: Picked for leadership


McQueen

Two faculty members at universities associated with Churches of Christ recently were named to leadership positions in their respective states’ education programs.


In Nashville, Tenn., Candice McQueen, dean of Lipscomb University’s College of Education, was named commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Education by Gov. Bill Haslam.
In Oklahoma City, Robyn Miller, School of Education chair at Oklahoma Christian University, was picked to oversee policy research and development for the Oklahoma State Department of Education by new state Superintendent Joy Hofmeister.
