Spotlight: Officer of the Year

OKLAHOMA CITY — Policeman Bradley May, a member of the Edmond Church of Christ, was honored as the South OKC Kiwanis Club Officer of the Year.

In May 2015, the Oklahoma Christian University graduate rescued a driver trapped in a vehicle at the bottom of a deep ravine.

“The engine was on fire,” Oklahoma City police said in a Facebook post. “Officer May was able to use his hands to scoop water out of the ditch and extinguish the flames. He cut the driver’s seatbelt loose and remained with him until firefighters arrived.”

The award was presented during an Oklahoma City Council meeting.
