Spotlight: A hunger for ‘Good Eats’
Atlanta church member Mike Menninger is quick to say he’s not a fanatic about the television show “Good Eats,” doesn’t talk endlessly about it, and certainly doesn’t stalk the host, Alton Brown.
That aside, he is, undoubtedly, the show’s greatest fan.
And, he’s known well enough by the show’s staff to earn a walk-on part on the Nov. 14 segment. He is one of three cooks trying to cook stuffing in a chicken correctly. He describes it as his “15 seconds of fame.”

Menninger, a self-described house husband and the director of Christmas musicals at the North Atlanta church, maintains a Web site about the show — www.goodeatsfanpage.com.
With North Atlanta’s musical over for 2004, he says he’s ready to see more of his family — and, of course, “Good Eats.”
