Spotlight: Stars and Stripes winner

OKLAHOMA CITY — Hannah Johnson, 17, became the first Oklahoma girl to earn the American Heritage Girls’ Stars and Stripes award, the equivalent to the Girl Scouts’ Gold Award or the Boy Scouts’ Eagle rank.

The Memorial Road Church of Christ member was honored for a service project that involved outreach to homeless people, Edmond Life & Leisure reported.
American Heritage is a Christ-centered character development group for girls. Hannah’s troop meets at the Wilshire Church of Christ in Oklahoma City.
