Rochester’s women — and men — win basketball national titles

The Lipscomb University Bisons aren’t the only ones celebrating this weekend.

Up in the Detroit suburb of Rochester Hills, Mich., Rochester College is celebrating a pair of national championships for its basketball programs. The 1,172-student school is associated with Churches of Christ.

On Saturday, the Lady Warriors netted their first-ever national title in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association, defeating Paul Quinn College 72-57 in Division I play.

A few hours later, Rochester’s men’s team won the 2018 USCAA Men’s Division I National Championship against Oakwood University 80-61.
