Rochester’s women — and men — win basketball national titles
The Lipscomb University Bisons aren't the only ones celebrating this…

The Detroit Free Press reports:
Garth Pleasant recently earned his 700th career victory as men’s basketball coach at Rochester College, a school that plays home games at area high schools because it doesn’t have its own arena. Pleasant, a 2008 inductee in the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan Hall of Fame, plans to retire after this season.
He has been coaching at his alma mater, formerly Michigan Christian College, since 1979. Pleasant, a two-time National Small College Athletic Association Coach of the Year (1989, 1997), has guided Rochester College to seven championship games and four national titles (1989, 1997, 2004-05). His overall record is 701-380.
Pleasant, 61, spoke to Free Press sports writer George Sipple about his latest milestone, and why he doesn’t judge success by basketball wins.
