Please make The Christian Chronicle part of your #GivingTuesday plans
Dear readers:
If your inbox looks like ours, you’ve received LOTS of messages about Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Today is #GivingTuesday , a new, global initiative among charities, families, businesses, community centers and students around the world to celebrate generosity — and to give.
We would be honored if you would include The Christian Chronicle in your #GivingTuesday plans.
We thank God for our loyal and generous readers — in print and online. You help us inform, inspire and unite Christians around the world.
And you help us promote worthwhile causes.
Last year, we sounded a call to help Southwestern Christian College, a faith-based school in Texas in danger of closing its doors due to a lack of funds. You responded to that call and gave nearly $300,000 to the college.
More recently, we wrote about the 4-year-old daughter of a California minister. She has Cerebral Palsy and requires a feeding tube. Thanks to your votes and support, she won a contest to receive feeding tube food for a year.
In the past 12 months, we’ve reported on a minister who found faith to preach again — after the murder of his wife and son. We’ve launched an investigative series on reaching the growing Hispanic population in the U.S. with the Gospel. We’ve told the inside story of the faith of Dr. Kent Brantly, who contracted Ebola while fighting the devastating disease in West Africa.
As you count your blessings, please consider giving to support this vital news ministry.
Funds we receive this #GivingTuesday will help us upgrade our online services — and will provided much-needed resources for our national and international coverage.
You may give online or by check. Any amount is greatly appreciated. Please feel free to honor someone you love with a donation in their name.
