Pepperdine plans Rushford Center for Research on Churches of Christ

Jerry Rushford

A news release from Pepperdine says the center recognizes Rushford’s “extraordinary leadership and scholarship as a church historian.”

Within (the center), Jerry will oversee the work of the Churches of Christ Heritage Center he founded in 2009. Congratulations, Jerry! Well done. We’ve both come a long way since Strathmoor Church of Christ days in Detroit. I’m also at the cusp of leaving the Directorship of the educational center I started 30 years ago, but staying on in a new, sidelong role. Best wishes in your new venture.
