Ohio Valley names finalists for presidency
VIENNA, W.Va. — The trustees of Ohio Valley University named Michael Moss and Harold Shank as candidates for president of the 500-student university associated with Churches of Christ.
Moss is chairman of Ohio Valley’s School of Biblical Studies and Behavioral Sciences. He served for 23 years on the Bible faculty at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tenn.
Shank is professor of Old Testament at Oklahoma Christian University in Oklahoma City. He also serves as reviews editor for The Christian Chronicle.
Both candidates were scheduled to complete an interview process leading up to the university’s board of trustees meeting on March 5. The new president will succeed James Johnson, who stepped down in early 2009 after four years at the university’s helm. Keith Stotts, OVU’s chancellor and former longtime president, has served as interim president.
