AWARDED
“Team Charcoal,” students of Heritage Christian College in Accra, Ghana, won the Audience Choice Award and the grand prize of $15,000 at the Global Social Innovation Challenge in San Diego.

“Team Charcoal” is honored for its environmental savvy in San Diego.
The global event featured 50 teams from 12 countries. The team, Evans Kwarkye, Stephen Nketsia and Austin Carboo, made a presentation on turning human waste into charcoal. They are Bachelor of Business Administration students at the college, which is associated with Churches of Christ.

Tony Neely
Tony Neely with the 25-year service award from the College Sports Information Directors of America. Neely, a member of the Southside Church of Christ in Lexington, Ky., is the assistant athletic director for media relations at the University of Kentucky.
