No nosebleed seating, that is. The annual gathering of young believers from hundreds of Churches of Christ uses an “in the round” stage with four sides of audience, said organizer Larry Davenport, “so every seat in the room is as awesome as the person sitting in it.”

For the past three years, New Zealand has endured lockdowns and strict policies meant to limit the spread of COVID-19. The country in the southwestern Pacific Ocean is still healing from the hardships of the pandemic, Justin Cherry said.

On top of that, New Zealanders have endured a series of natural disasters in recent months — floods, mudslides, earthquakes and a cyclone. Cherry and his wife, Jennifer, are doing what they can to meet their adopted country’s physical and emotional needs.
