New Mexico youth put on the “Armor of God”

Young church members show off what they've learned.

“I may never march in the infantry, ride in the cavalry, shoot the artillery. I may never fly o’er the enemy for I’m in the Lord’s army. Yes, sir,” sang the children of the Rio Rancho Church of Christ as they marched through the main aisle of the auditorium.

The children at the church in New Mexico have spent weeks learning about the “Armor of God” from Ephesians 6.
“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”
The lessons from the previous weeks were displayed on the same day the congregation wrapped up a special, three-day workshop focused on “Spiritual Warfare.”

The children recited memory verses in front of the congregation and showed off life-sized paper images of themselves wearing their “armor.” The full-body selfies were displayed at the back of the auditorium. Each featured an enlarged photo of a child’s face peeking out from behind the helmet of salvation.

Church members say it was a special event and a wonderful way to wrap up the workshop.
