If you walk into a random church you might see a pipe organ. At another it might be a drum set and bass guitar. Many churches put these music-makers front and center during Sunday Service.
But a Jackson faith community has reversed that idea entirely.
Singing voices belonging to people trained or not blend and boom against the walls in Parkview Church of Christ.
Church Leader Dannie White explains that just like listening to preaching or donating money, singing is something you have to do for yourself for it to make an impact.
“We’re not in the entertaining business. We’re in the teaching business and we trying to get God’s word out in accordance to the New Testament,” White said.
“We do not use mechanical instruments of music here in our worship style and we stick closely to the Bible,” Ministering Evangelist Richard Wiggins said.
