Michigan worship leader remembered for service to God, fellow Christians

The Daily Tribune of Mount Clemens, Mich., reports:
Jeremy King — a father of two with a third child on the way — died Tuesday afternoon while hunting in the area of Fagan and Lahring roads. Friends say it’s unclear if he fell from a 20-foot hunting platform or if some sort of medical issue caused him to fall or otherwise collapse.
“Jeremy was the kind of guy who would do anything for anybody,” said Jason Steckel, minister of spiritual life at Rochester Church of Christ.
Steckel had known King for quite a while, but the two became closer during the past year, while King was serving as a worship leader at the church.
Steckel said Sunday morning services proved King’s love for the Lord, for his family and for those in attendance.
“In the way he led worship, it was very obvious it wasn’t about him,” Steckel said. “It was about God and other people he was leading.
