Lipscomb University student competes on ‘Survivor’
The Tennessean in Nashville reports:
Survivor fans will have some local ties in Survivor: Redemption Island. It was shot last fall in Costa Rica and begins airing Wednesday on WTVF-5 (CBS).
Matt Elrod is a 22-year-old Lipscomb University pre-med student, which makes sense. His father is Burton Elrod, the Titans’ team physician.
Matt played football at David Lipscomb High School from 2004-2006 and was an All-Midstate choice in his junior and senior season.
The 6-foot, 190-pound Elrod comes off in Survivor promo pictures as a surfer dude with shoulder length blond-streaked hair.
