In Texas, church members help outdoor workers beat the heat

The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal in Texas reports:

Newsflash: June is hot in Texas.
And while it’s tough to beat the Texas summer heat, people who make their living outside seem to know some of the tricks of the trade.
Thin clothing, long sleeves and plenty of breaks helped some workers Thursday.
Good Samaritans like 13-year-old Sasha Ross helped others.
“There are people out here who are really, really hot and we just want to spread the word of God by giving them water,” Ross said.
She and several other volunteers from Greenlawn Church of Christ braved the heat to hand out bottles of water on the Texas Tech campus Thursday.
