In India, music teacher hears ‘the voice of many angels’

Students at Angels’ Place raise their voices, with coaching from Sarah Burnell, a music teacher from Montreal. Burnell, Jan and Leslie Swensen, of the Holiday Park Church of Christ in Plum, Pa., and Hedi Devine, of the Elmwood Street Church of Christ in Lafayette, Ind., visited the children’s home, which serves 155 orphans and impoverished children in Manipur, a state in northeastern India. R. Sanga, minister for a Church of Christ and founder of the Imphal School of Preaching, directs the children’s home. The children have angelic voices, Jan Swensen said, and will continue to study music and practice via Skype, an online communication service. See www.jamesconnection.org.
