In India, churches build without walls

Missionary Hershel Bearden said he has asked God to provide funds for 50 “Buildings Without Walls” for Churches of Christ in southern India in 2011.
As the name indicates, the buildings are simple structures with a roof, support pillars and no walls. Each facility can seat 125 church members.
In 1996, missionary Royce Frederick and Bearden launched the program, which has resulted in 292 church buildings thus far. Bearden, sponsored by the Angelina Church of Christ in Lufkin, Texas, evangelizes, helps churches mature and provides material aid to congregations in India’s Andhra Pradesh state. He also helped launch the Courtney Swann/Matthew McCartney Children’s Home in Chipurupalli.
Sponsors are needed for 40 children at the home.
